“Legal Business Forum - Leaders and the New Reality”

Atai Isaev, a lawyer of LEX Law Firm, attended the “Legal Business Forum - Leaders and the New Reality” on August 30, 2023.
The Forum was held in Moscow – “Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow 5*” in the format of three main thematic tracks: “Consulting”, “Inhouse and Consulting”, “Development” and an additional one – “Legal PR”. This division provided attendees with a more concentrated content, unified under a single block of information, and reflected the diversity of participants’ viewpoints. Attendees discussed key topics of the industry development, including strengthening the personal brand of a consultant, global challenges for law firm partnerships and others. Over 50 experienced speakers delivered presentations.
Speakers shared their insight and experience on how to enter promising markets during economic transformation and analyzed which strategies of market leaders have been most successful.
A brief summary of each track.
- “Inhouse and Consulting” track allowed the audience to answer the questions: how has the role of legal departments within corporations changed, and why are more and more lawyers choosing inhouse? A separate aspect of the track will be the issue of implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in legal work: from technological possibilities of preventing bankruptcy and analyzing the potential of predictive justice to the issues of robotization and unemployment, training of young and retraining of experienced professionals in the industry.
- “Legal PR” track participants discussed concepts, approaches and tools of public relations in the legal environment, analyzed the current practice in this sensitive area, highlighted the competencies that a specialist should possess.
“Development” track paid special attention to the increased role of personal and corporate brand building and studied the practice of "forced operational" repositioning of law firms.
The forum addressed the most topical issues of development of both the legal business and legal departments of corporations.
There were also investigated the ways of professional development of newly-formed leaders of the legal market, analyzed cases of experienced prominent business pathfinders, considered the positions and vision of inhouse lawyers.
Due to the new realities in the external global market of services and business, it is worth noting that Kyrgyzstan was of interest to many participants of the forum, both during and after the forum, which has promoted the establishment of many useful and mutually beneficial business relationships. This kind of cooperation often opens a “window” of opportunity for interaction with both the external service sector and the domestic sector.
We always find it pleasant and entertaining to exchange experience with our colleagues, in this regard, LEX Law Firm expresses its special gratitude to the forum organizers for the opportunity to participate in B2B meetings in this event, as well as for the organization of the forum.
