Annual Chess Tournament in Honor of Lawyer's Day 2024

On June 28, 2024, at the EVROPA Hotel, LEX Law Firm, with the support of the Kyrgyz Chess Union, held the Annual Chess Tournament in honor of Lawyer's Day. The tournament was officially opened by Andrey Li, Managing Partner of LEX Law Firm, and Dastan Bekeshev, a special guest, Member of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In his welcoming speech, Andrey Li emphasized the importance of the tournament, noting that “chess develops the mind and strategic thinking, teaches a sporting attitude to victories and defeats

These skills are important not only for lawyers, but for every person, since life consists of a series of victories and defeats that must be accepted with dignity.

”Wishing the participants success, the judging panel began the draw, which was conducted by judge Tynybekov Bakyt.

The tournament was held according to the Swiss system in 7 rounds with time control of 10 minutes per game and the addition of 2 seconds for each turn. The tournament was attended by 26 chess players, each of whom showed a high level of skill and athletic spirit.

According to the results of the tournament, the prize places were distributed as follows:

1st place: Moldobekov Nasir

2nd place: Anarkasov Aidar

3rd place: Vladislav Khegay

The winners were awarded certificates and valuable prizes:

• Cups for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places
• Chessboard - for 3rd place
• Xiaomi certificate - for 2nd place
• Adidas certificate - for 1st place
